The project, aptly named “Beyond the Family Kin Housing,” intentionally departs from the traditional concept of isolated family homes. Instead, it fosters open, barrier-free spaces that encourage diverse living arrangements where community, retreat, individuality, and collective togetherness can flourish in harmony. The architecture is not only a response to the needs of an aging population but also a forward-thinking design that embraces future generations.
A Bold and Sustainable Aesthetic
The building’s striking exterior features a contemporary shed roof and a vibrant blue ceramic façade crafted from the KeraTwin system by Agrob Buchtal, complemented by eye-catching wavy steel panels. Following the architects’ recommendations, the clients chose a rear-ventilated ceramic façade that is robust, durable, and adaptable for future modifications.
