Where four apartments unite to create a bespoke haven of elegance and individuality.
What happens when four individual apartments transform into a unified luxury haven? StoreyBoard Design answered this challenge by crafting a breathtaking residence for a family of seven. The design masterfully weaves the personal essence of each family member into a cohesive aesthetic, guided by the theme “Elements of the Earth.”
The formal living room is a showstopper, featuring a custom Sans Souci chandelier that mimics the flow of Indian rivers with its thousand glass elements. Beige suede laser-cut panels and rich beaded curtains amplify the chandelier’s splendor, perfectly framing Turi Furniture in subtle tones of beige and gold. In contrast, the informal living room greets guests through a 10-foot automated, metal-embossed wooden door. Luxurious Roberto Cavalli sofas in warm orange-tan tones sit alongside a mirror TV that doubles as an art piece. Marble-clad walls, organic consoles, and a low chaise lounge add to the understated elegance.
The dining area epitomizes craftsmanship with a handcrafted mother-of-pearl backdrop that frames a Cornelio Cappellini marble dining table and Roberto Cavalli chairs. A floral-inspired Sans Souci chandelier above completes the luxurious ambiance, while a metal and veneer partition provides privacy for grand dinners.
Dubbed the “White Pearl,” the puja room emanates serenity. A monolithic white marble jaali partition casts intricate patterns of light and shadow, harmonizing with mother-of-pearl sliding screens that frame a fixed glass backdrop. The space embodies purity and peace, offering a haven of spiritual reflection.
Master Bedroom, Son’s Bedroom, Daughter’s Bedroom and Grandfathers Bedroom
Each bedroom tells a unique story. The master bedroom combines marble and jali backdrops with opulent furnishings, while the son’s room exudes masculinity with suede panels, a jumbo Fendi headboard, and a spa-inspired bathroom. The daughter’s room is minimal and chic, featuring a Melerba cot, a mirror TV, and a walk-in closet that rivals celebrity spaces. Meanwhile, the guest and grandparents’ rooms mix wood and marble to balance comfort with elegance.
The home theatre, with its plush beige tones, suede ribbed acoustical panels, and state-of-the-art Cineak system, offers a 12-seater retreat perfect for family movie nights or hosting intimate gatherings. Unlike traditional home theatres, it breaks conventions with a lighter, more inviting design.
Converting four apartments into one palatial home came with challenges. Columns, ducts, and beams were skillfully integrated into the layout, including a louvered barrel feature that filters light while maintaining privacy. Fully automated systems, concealed air-conditioning ducts, and hidden service areas ensured functionality without sacrificing aesthetics.
From custom chandeliers to intricate inlays, every corner of this residence exudes opulence. Carefully planned spaces, like the sleek kitchens and gallery-like corridors, create a seamless blend of luxury and livability. This project stands as a testament to refined design – an elegant home that celebrates individuality while embracing timeless sophistication.
