The space encourages the employees to come to work, collaborate, explore, and socialise
Akin to BKC in Mumbai, Gurugram in the NCR is a hub of corporates. Unlike the city of Delhi, high rises adorned in glass facades are not a rare sight out here. Among the growing list of corporations establishing a vibrant presence in this dynamic part of the town is ‘boAt,’ India’s popular wearable and audio brand. The realization of this innovative office space was brought to life through the expertise of Space Matrix.
The new workspace embraces diversity that fuels imagination and collaboration. From the outset, the 22,000-square-foot office unfolds a captivating narrative that mirrors boAt’s journey and encapsulates the brand’s ethos. The design is more than just aesthetic; it’s an interactive journey through themed rooms inspired by passion points, flexible work settings, and engaging community spaces.
Space Matrix, the architectural virtuosos behind the project, strategically integrated elements of nature, blurring the lines between indoors and outdoors. The result is a refreshing, stimulating workspace that resonates with the culture of collaboration, creativity, and innovation. The bold and youthful design, punctuated by vivid colors, graffiti, unique textures, and eclectic furniture, seamlessly aligns with the brand’s identity. Going beyond the conventional office setup, the new office boasts several amenities reminiscent of ‘third spaces’—cafés and clubs. The cafeteria, styled like a trendy bar lounge, an amphitheater setting, and a game & leisure zone create an environment that empowers employees to work, pause, relax, and socialize, both during and after work hours. This reinforces the commitment to a culture that thrives on collaboration and innovation.
In executing this project which fuses the brand ethos whilst taking into note the comfort of the employees, Space Matrix has set a bold course, where creativity and innovation sail hand in hand. Akshay Lakhanpal, CEO of Space Matrix, described the experience of designing the office as a unique opportunity to create a dynamic and engaging space tailored to the distinct needs of employees. “It has been an incredible journey working hand in hand to bring visionary aspirations to life,” he said.
The project’s success lies in creating an environment where employees feel comfortable, inspired, and empowered to be themselves. Payal Kapoor, Head of Design – Gurgaon at Space Matrix, highlighted their team’s deep understanding of the brand’s philosophy, resulting in a vibrant, functional, and immersive workspace. With this innovative office space, boAt not only reinforces its position as a leading lifestyle brand but also asserts itself as a trailblazer in shaping the future of work culture. Aman Gupta, Co-Founder and CMO, expressed excitement about the new space, emphasizing its reflection of the brand and its alignment with the preferences of Gen Z and millennials. “We are confident that this new office will help us to continue to innovate and grow as a company.”
